About Adam
Adam was brought up in a farming community on the northern edge of the English Lake District. He attended the Royal Agricultural College before returning to Cumbria to work as a Trainee Land Agent and Auctioneer, a role he has performed for more than thirty years.
Adam is the Managing Director of the Farmer Network, a not for profit organisation tha supports the farming communities of Cumbria, The Yorkshire Dales and in the near future Northumberland. He continues to work from time to time as a freelance auctioneer mainly at Penrith Auction, where he first started his career.
He is married with two grown- up children and lives near Penrith. A former national league rugby player, he now enjoys performing with his band the Soul Survivors where he sings, plays keyboards and guitar. The garden and a small allotment remain a challenge.
